Why can't I romance Mizora? ›

She holds his contract and is tied to his questline. To reach Mizora and romance her, you'll need to keep Wyll close by. She enjoys making him squirm, and having him on your side makes it easier to reach this fiend. She is cunning and cruel, and does not require approval to romance.

After that, you'll enjoy, or not enjoy, the night with Mizora. Be warned, though; this does have consequences. The next morning, Wyll will be very upset with your actions, but not enough to have him do anything. Your current lover, however, will have something else to say.

Despite her hatred of all things Zariel, Karlach can accept Mizora's one-night stand—unhappily so, especially if you choose to 'Smile the rictus grin of the damned.' when accepting. As Mizora is a cambion, she is an available sex partner for Karlach even if she has not repaired her engine.

You can back out at any point before things really hot up, if you've changed your mind. This might not be a bad idea if you've entered into a romance with Gale or Wyll, as they will break up with you immediately the next morning after finding out about your tryst with Mizora.

Karlach will be upset with your decision to sleep with Mizora. However, there are dialogue responses that might smooth things over. Lae'zel, however, has a more drastic response. She won't leave the party, but she'll end the romance for good.

The event is entirely random and has no known triggers (though does appear to happen more frequently when walking around the Lower City Central Wall Waypoint). The only character who is not disgusted appears to be Astarion.

Karlach may dislike it if you're flirting with her (i.e. dialogue options and kissing scene), only to sleep with a different origin companion later on, thus ending the romance arc.
